We’ve all heard about refugees in the news, but what does refugee resettlement in Colorado look like? Come to this session to build your knowledge about refugee newcomers living in our communities. We’ll cover the basics of how resettlement works, discuss populations resettled in Colorado, and discuss available programs and services to support integration and wellbeing for newcomers. In addition, we’ll explore how child support workers can more effectively support refugees in ways that are trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and where you can effectively extend a welcome to newcomers in our community.
